Second Quarter Awards

Our School Board Member Visits

Mrs. Patsy McCutcheon toured REMMS and visited with many teachers and students in classrooms during her visit. She is seen here visiting the media center where Mary Cagle's students showed her about Reading Counts. They viewed photos of our celebrations for readers, discussed reading logs, looked at reading counts tests, and also discussed Vokis which several students had made on their own time and posted to their student profiles here.

Congratulations! Junior Scholars

Austin Brown and Bryce Elmore are our Junior Scholars for this year. They are eligible for college scholarships because of their efforts. They accomplished this for their score on the PSAT which was taken earlier. There is an award program at FMU.

Service Projects

Coat and Sweater Drive

The Character Connect class (see Mrs. Hailes) is having a coat and sweater drive. We invite you all to participate. Please help us by bringing in all of your extra sweaters and coats that you would like to donate, and encourage your students to do the same. All items donated will go to Harvest Hope for distribution to the local clothes closets. Please make sure that all items are clean and ready for use.

Harvest Hope Food Drive Results

We collected 732 lbs of food for donation. Thanks REMMS students and staff you did a GREAT job! Special thanks to Mr. Ernest Graham's classes.

Mrs. Vivian Hailes and Mrs. Diane Haines met the Harvest Hope truck at the school during vacation so that our donations could be picked up.
